"7th April 2026 - this owner driver was on the A13. He flatley refused to move his vehicle for an emergency service fire vehicle to get through the stationary traffic. The attitude from him was disgusting while he watched us struggle to get the vehicle through. Think long and hard before doing business with this man/company and hope he never costs you a member of your family in an emergency situation!"

"I booked Boss Gas Installation Ltd after having trouble with my old boiler, and I’m honestly happy with the service I received. The engineer came on time, checked everything properly, and explained what was causing the issue in simple language. The repair didn’t take long, and they made sure the boiler was running smoothly before leaving. The pricing was reasonable too, which I really appreciated. Overall, it felt like dealing with a reliable and straightforward company. I’d happily use their boiler installs & repairs service again if I need help in the future."

"I had Zac from Boss Gas Installations Ltd come out to fit a gas fireplace in my home. He was excellent from start to finish, professional, polite, and a lovely gentleman. He explained everything clearly and was very informative. Zac went above and beyond to get my fire installed, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. The service I received was the best I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone for any gas work."

"Calling me an idiot does not hide from the fact that their workmanship is below an acceptable level. I am not a plumber. The plumber I paid to come back and fix all the issues, gave me a list of the workmanship that was unacceptable / faulty. It was extensive and costly to rectify. Implying that I would intentionally damage parts or replace them - just so they can slander you makes no sense. Why would someone do that and pay further to fix it, all to be further out of pocket. A pricing and transparency policy does not consist of changing costs or methods on the day, when the client is vulnerable to a partially completed job! Like I said to anyone reading this review - beware of these guys, as you can see in his response - he accepts no fault and is very aggressive when held accountable and just blames the customer!!! Just say sorry for being second rate at what you do and work on improving yourself. Original review —- Time - Cost - Quality… you can’t have all three. This guy was fast and hard working with an initially great attitude, the cost was on point with comparison quotes, and the quality besides a few minor issues was acceptable. This contractor left a lot out of his quote which ultimately became variations that he expected us to pay. He learned how to diagnose a boiler fault on our time and at our expense. He replaced parts that were not faulty and expected us to pay. He did not measure or visit site to verify all conditions prior to quoting rather blamed us for the information we provided, which included a specification for a type of column radiator. He installed something cheaper and clearly of cheaper quality. His website states ‘free quotes - no surprises’. Be wary as our experience was the opposite. When we attempted to discuss the extra charges - almost double the initial quote, he immediately became aggressive and sent messages threatening to ‘come to our house to discuss it’ and accused me of ‘taking liberties’. He will demand full payment within 24 hours of completion of work therefore remove any financial leverage. You might have in the event of workmanship issues or job related defects. This is exactly where we currently are now having to pay another plumber to come back and fix leaks as the connections that he has made to the radiators clearly does not include long enough pipe, the olive component for compression is missing and instead is filled with plumbers mate tape/paste product. There is no way I’m having this guy back to address these issues. Terrible customer service. For our safety - We chose to pay him out and raise an incident with CheckATrade. Be cautious of companies with incredibly low ratings / reviews and perhaps those with perfect review scores and comments aren’t offering the full story! I have evidence of workmanship and audio notes in the event of any further proceeding.”"

"Zac came with his son Josh to check to see if they could install a gas-powered fireplace in my chimney shaft. A handyman not interested in his customer’s safety would have probably just done the job and taken the money, but Zac was honest enough to tell me the dangers of installing it unless I cleaned out the entire chimney and replaced the lining first, which would have been a separate and far more expensive job for a fire professional. Zac and Josh also replaced a problematic radiator valve for me and stopped a leak. They also cleaned the water tank (a job British Gas was supposed to do but didn’t) and drained all the radiators for me. I found them very professional throughout."
