Crown Preservation Damp Proofing

"Declan was a pleasure to deal with. He is extremely knowledgable and is able to explain things simply and clearly to someone with no knowledge in the area. He reviewed an independent survey I had done during my purchase and then came to do his own survey. The initial survey recommended significant work, which Declan disagreed with and showed me the readings as he went around. In the end he saved me £'000s. So refreshing to have someone so transparent in the building industry. Would highly recommend."

"Contacted Crown Preservation to see whether any work was needed. They advised me by telephone to leave well enough alone unless there was any evidence of damp penetration - which happily there is not. So, great honest advice, wonderful service. Highly recommended."

"Declan, surveyor, came prepared with a thermostat equipment. Quick price, long gaurentee. Dan was very trustworthy, reliable and efficient. He got the job done in a day and left the place very clean. He also took pictures of his work which is helpful as I was out."

"I submitted a website query- the initial response was quite generic but once I reached Declan directly I sent some photos and Declan was knowledgeable, courteous and constructive, freely giving advice and taking time both to look at emails and video call information to advise on next steps."

"We instructed ‘Crown Preservation Damp Proofing’ to carry out a damp survey in our ground floor flat. We were concerned that it may be rising damp but were so relieved after having spoken to Declan (the owner) who had such a wealth of knowledge that he was so happy to share with us over the phone and potentially saved us a small fortune. It turned out to be condensation in the room that was causing the damp patches on the wall and black mould. He advised us that this could easily be resolved with virtually no cost by always ventilating the room, not drying clothes in the room, removing plants, buying a black mould spray and ensuring the room was warm with the heater on. Such a breath of fresh air, to find someone quite genuine and someone that was prepared to share his many, many years of experience and knowledge with you. There are so many cowboys out there, that could have easily sold you an unnecessary damp-proof course for thousands of pounds. Well worth the £180 for the damp survey. Thank you"
