I'll keep my initial review up for balance. Prior to writing it - I was generally happy with Damian although there were a few things we were unhappy with I decided to 'live with it'. Professional, friendly and helpful and felt we had a respectful and good relationship. Unfortunately things have gone down hill since. A mirror was incorrectly fitted, whether that is the fault of Damian or the company who supplied it I do not know - however the company stated they repeatedly offered advice and help to which he didnt' pick up on. I offered to split the cost of a new mirror with him for it to be installed - about £180 each. Which I thought was fair enough considering a builder really should be able to see a mirror wasn't to size before installing it (it about 5cm off the edge of the wall). There has also been quite a few other issues in the installations that Damian said he would come back and repair and never has. Both toilets installed are coming away from the wall. There are fittings that are falling off from the wall (tap, shower etc) and certain things haven't been installed correctly - including a radiator which is facing the wrong way. I have texted Damian about above numerous times and have asked for assistance with regards to the mirror. He hasn't replied to these texts Also, halfway through the build despite being told it was a 2 bathroom project his tiler went on holiday leaving us completely in the lurch. Damian should have ensured his tiler was free for the entire project. This forced us to hunt for another tiler online quickly on the basis we needed the upstairs bathroom completed . This ended up in myself hiring a substandard tiler who charged extremely high. Had Damian told me at the start the tiler wasn't free for both weeks then this would have been fine and we'd have waited. I was also told it would be 7-10 days per bathroom - the entire project ended up taking close to 2 months - with problems both in his control and out of his control. Finally, the price of the project went up astronomically. I've never had an installation where the price of the initial project rose so much. I understand it was a difficult build but I feel like I've been left in the lurch. I now have other builders attending to finish off the work. I felt throughout I was respectful and polite and understanding. I didn't quibble nor was I difficult. I felt like Damian is a very nice bloke and professional too so I am surprised that this project has unfortunately finished far beneath substandard. It greatly saddens me to write this as I say above Damian is a nice bloke and well-meaning but I think he just gave up with the project. It would have been 5* had he amicably resolved all the remaining issues - but the fact I have to now go to other builders indicates it can't be."

We explained that we were speaking to a few tradespeople and he was understanding and said we could confirm our booking later in the day. He was flexible about timings, for example we weren’t quite ready when he arrived, and he was willing to work around unavoidable meetings I had that day. His pricing was very fair and good value and he sent an itemised invoice. We had a great experience with DP Plumbing and would definitely use their services again and recommend them to friends and family."
