"Brilliant work! Esat is a master craftsman and I thoroughly recommend him. He replaced my original sash windows with double-glazed sash windows for my over-sized living room windows and also for my bedroom within 3 days. He explained what would happen and did exactly what he said he would to a very high standard. He managed to retain the original woodwork in the living room (even though he had prepared wood to replicate it) and he reproduced the feature detailing in bedroom, where all the woodwork had to come out. He achieved the main replacement in one day, as he had told me he would and he provided new locks so that I could secure the windows the same day. After that, the making good and painting was done quickly and efficiently. Esat even helped me to remove (and later rehang) a large mirror, which I could not lift down on my own. It's made an incredible difference to the soundproofing and I'm looking forward to reduced heating bills."

"Edit, 2 stars removed - let down due to very poor snagging post installation - see photos, failed to correctly fix trickle vents or to respond adequately. I dont know if Esat is away or ill or what but company response has been lacking following positive review I had written below in expectation that they would come back and finish the job properly. Ended up taking off windows myself, removing three really badly fitted unmatched and slightly broken vents. Have asked bathroom fitters to fix new ones since I have received no answer to my complaint on this from EJ Joinery (earlier review below) We are very pleased with our new replacement box sash wood windows, casement window and doors from the friendly team at EJ Joinery, all was closely supervised by Esat - a man of his word, no hidden extras, everything left in very nice condition"

"Avoid avoid avoid! I really wanted to like this local business but their work on our sash windows has been truly awful. I liked the idea of supporting a local business and their prices are compellingly low. After just a few months almost all the windows have moved in their frames leaving obvious gaps at the side of the frames. The wood in one of the frames has split. When I contacted them about this their response was 'it has been warm inside and cold outside' - which pretty much describes the job of a window. They have been back once to repair them - the picture with the mess under the window ledge is *after* the repair. This is the ledge right beside our sofa - left unsanded and not properly painted. Deeply disappointed. Strongly not recommended. Posting this in the hope they finally come back to finish the repairs."
