Ellie's Electricians

"Phoned and took me to Surrey Gas and Electric. Who sent down AA Brother electrical and plumbing. I told the receptionist this was a non emergency and asked in detail what the pricing was. He said £50 call out which includes looking at the work and minor fixing, I explicitly mentioned this was a non emergency and he said the person would give me a call sometime when he's available. When someone arrived they said the issue was to replace a single switch. Which he quoted £350 for to replace a £30 part in a 15 minute job. This was the emergency call out fee which at the end I explicitly said I told the receptionist this wasn't. He said if the work wasn't being done he would charge £50 for a call out fee and £120 for a diagnostic fee. I said the receptionist said the call out fee would cover the diagnosis which he shrugged his shoulders and said he doesn't know what they said despite claiming to be the 'Boss'. Incredibly predatory pricing and would not recommend considering this was a 30 minutes job to replace a £40 part which he would charge over a £100 just to look at."

The electricians Connor, Michael and Mark were all knowledgeable, nice, friendly, professional and respectful of the house. And Ellie is amazing as well, she is a great communicator, really sweet and always on it. "Mark and his colleague/apprentice came over to built in a new fuse board as ours was very old and in desperate need of an upgrade. There had been a problem with one of the switches tripping and it was a very hard and frustrating job finding the problem as our house had been extended before we moved in. The guys worked extremely hard, they were always punctual, very professional and pleasant. Also Ellie was brilliant and helpful in booking us in and keeping us up to date - very professional. I can't praise them highly enough and will definitely recommend this company! Just brilliant and we will use them again soon!"
