Funky Techs DIY Hardware - Electronics Repairs - Timber - Key Cutting - Handyman Services

"Absolutely perfect, my nephew was pretending to be Tarzan and hung from my chandelier and the chandelier dropped. Owner came down personally and fixed it himself including the security of it as it’s a very heavy and big chandelier. Would definitely recommend as he takes pride in his work!"

"Jay replaced an extractor fan for me and did an excellent job. He was personable, tidy, efficient and reasonably priced. I’ll certainly be calling upon his services again. Highly recommended"

"Jay has honestly become a bit of a lifeline for me locally. I first went into Funky Techs with a badly clogged sink and he immediately recommended the right products, while also explaining what could actually make the issue worse — things I genuinely had no idea about. A few days later the problem sadly still wasn’t solved, so I went back, and that’s when Jay mentioned that he also offers plumbing services and home visits. What followed turned into a few weeks of trial and error, not because of Jay’s skills, but because my sink situation turned out to be far worse than expected and eventually needed parts of the plumbing structure to be replaced entirely. Throughout the whole process, Jay was incredibly patient, caring and fair. He always tried to work around my schedule, never overcharged me despite the amount of time involved, and ultimately recommended a much better long-term solution than I expected. Genuinely couldn’t have asked for a kinder or more trustworthy service. At this point I go to Funky Techs with basically every house-related problem, big or small. Big thumbs up."

"Such a great local shop. Well stocked in all manner of hardware and building supplies etc you might need to fix up your house and garden. Best thing is I recently discover they also do fast, very reasonably priced repairs of electrical tools. Jay fixed very quickly my SDS breaker which had failed in the middle of a job. Highly recommend!"

"I’ve used Funky Techs several times over the years, and they’ve consistently delivered excellent service. Whether it’s DIY hardware, timber cutting, electronics repairs, or even quick key cutting, they always manage to sort things out efficiently and with a friendly attitude. Their team really knows what they’re doing, and they’re always happy to give honest advice rather than just sell you something. I’ve also used their handyman services before, and the work was done professionally and to a high standard. It’s rare to find a local shop that covers so many different needs under one roof, and Funky Techs has become my go‑to place in Newington Green. Highly recommended for anyone looking for reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful service."
