Ivo Carew Architects

"We approached Ivo Carew Architects with a challenging brief to design an affordable, high quality, low impact, events building in a sensitive woodland setting adjoining a National Nature Reserve. Having not worked with Ivo and Thomas before, we were immediately impressed with the enthusiasm and commitment with which they approached the task, giving us complete confidence that we had chosen the right architects. During the design phase, they have worked with us in a very open and collaborative way, listening to feedback, evolving the building, and even crafting a beautiful scale model. We now have an exceptional design to take through the planning process, that perfectly responds to the original brief, and which, subject to a favourable outcome, we will be very excited to see built."

"Ivo and his team have worked with us on a couple of complex projects, both on historic sites with real planning and design constraints. What stands out is how much research goes in before any design work starts. They genuinely understand the context before proposing anything, and it shows in the end result. They also go the extra mile to make the vision real - sourcing and procuring the right materials themselves rather than leaving it as a nice drawing. They’re easy to deal with, attention to details impressive, honest when something needs more thought, and proactive rather than reactive when issues come up."

"Side return. new floor added and complete interior redesign to a unique house in a logistically difficult area. Fantastic, innovative design and dedicated project management. A joy to work with."

"Scope Surveys has been working with Ivo Carew Architects for three years. His firm has always been professional and efficient throughout the years of collaboration. Scope Surveys chooses to work with companies that reflect their high standards and quality and Ivo Carew is no exception. We highly recommend Ivo and his team for those requiring an architect for their project."

"We approached Ivo Carew Architects to work on planning permission, design and implementation of a flat renovation in a Grade II Listed estate. We found it very easy to work with Ivo. He listened to our ideas, gave feedback and suggestions, and created concrete and detailed plans to make it come to life. His plans and designs are meticulous and he knows the process of planning application very well. We can't wait to continue to work with Ivo on the project."
