LK Painting & Decorating

"I paid £2,000 for Leon to decorate the front exterior and rear windows of my house. I hired him because of the reviews on google. Big mistake. The paint i bought was top quality - the workmanship less so. Leon was meant to repair windows which were rotten in parts and decorate them. He and his colleague were painting IN THE RAIN. When I pointed this out to him at the time, he said if the paint failed, he’d come back to fix it. Of course, his “repairs” to my windows are so poor cracks have appeared and the paint has failed, all within less than a year of the job being completed. Shoddy. I messaged him asking him to look at the pictures, and come and take a look at the work. He refused. Saying this was normal “wear and tear”. It isn’t. The journey to come and inspect the paint - not far - given Leon’s address according to this profile is a maximum 5 minute drive. Such poor service and such a terrible attitude. In addition, the job was so poor, there were paint marks left on the gutters and paint residue left on my floor in my dining room I had to clean up. The paint that was scraped off was just left on the scaffolding I had hired which I had to clean up. —- In response to Leon’s response below, he categorically told me if the paint failed (BECAUSE IT WAS BEING DONE IN THE RAIN) he would fix it. I had the front of my home decorated a long while ago, previously and it took many years to flake and peel. Leon’s work failed within a year. I don’t expect “freebies”. I expect fairness and for people to the honest and truthful. Leon came back to fix the bits he’d messed up on like all the splashes on the guttering. Some of its still there. I’ll attach images when I get time. Below is the information from Mylands (the paint used) “ The surface will give up to ten years protection in perfect conditions and fully maintained. This means cleaning off any dirt a few times a year and applying another coat of paint every three years. All paints’ pigment will fade a little in direct sunlight”"

"Leon and his team were the best decorators I've worked with, they are detailed, fast and respectful. Leon's communication is great, and everything was agreed with a clear invoice. When we added some work on, he was kind to accommodate us and the overall finished quality is fantastic. We've already recommended him to friends. Thanks Leon!"

"Leon did an excellent job on our project. He was professional, trustworthy, and clearly took great pride in his work. The attention to detail and quality of the finish were outstanding. He kept everything tidy throughout the job and was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Highly recommended!"

"I recently had my two-bedroom flat painted by Leon, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Leon is a highly conscientious workman with incredible attention to detail and ensured his work was minimally disruptive to me as I work from home. The finish is flawless, and he is very polite, professional, tidy, and reliable throughout. I highly recommend his services! My dog loved him too and that’s always a testament to good character :)"

"Leon did a fantastic job painting the outside of our house - window frames, door and all surrounds. He was very thorough but worked efficiently and got the job done quickly but expertly. He was tidy and cleared up at the end of each day. Leon’s prices are very reasonable. I would have no hesitation in recommending him."
