"The contract was for replacement of a pitched roof covering a pair of large Victorian semi-detached houses. Scaffolding was arranged by Mark and included in the contract. Removal of slates revealed problems with the brickwork. Mark investigated the full extent of the problems, documenting with photos. Mindful of our need to cap costs he estimated for this work quickly. Within a week of the start of work we had agreed a revised contract including replacement of some rafters, repair of the partition wall and 6 chimney stacks and new gutters. This quick and thorough action gave us confidence and peace of mind that no further work would be needed. This proved to be correct. Before removal of the roof Mark taped protective covering around the scaffolding to minimise the mess caused as slates were removed. During the work we were in constant communication, ensuring that no problems arose. The original contract estimated 6 weeks for completion and even with the extra work completion was within 8 weeks. The finished roof looks great. We thoroughly recommend Nunhead roofing, both for the method of work and the result."
