"Mick was great. I needed a gas safety certificate done asap and called him on a Friday. He said he was fully booked all next week but he made himself available and came and got it done on the Sunday. Very good communication throughout and seemed like a nice, polite person. I Would definitely use his services again and will recommend to my network and friends & family."

"I had some strange clicking sounds coming from my boiler over the weekend and needed urgent help. Mick was fantastic – he called me back straight away, talked me through what the problem might be, and even arranged a same-day booking. He was really honest too, suggesting I check if my boiler was still under warranty before spending money, which I’d completely forgotten about. In the end I managed to sort the problem myself, but Mick’s honesty, kindness, and quick response really stood out. I would not hesitate to recommend him and will definitely be asking him to do my yearly service after finding such an honest and reliable person."

"I don’t usually write reviews but had a bad experience. Two problems in the bathroom: broken flush and shower that takes time to get hot. Advice on flush, replace the whole thing that sits behind the wall as β€œit is really hard to figure out what make the flush is so we can’t replace without you telling what the brand is, better to replace the whole thing”. Quote incl carpenter more than 1000Β£. Issue with hot water, didn’t have a clue and just said it’s probably calcium which would mean opening the wall etc. Asked for a second opinion (over a video call…) two days after. Problem with flush was fixed the day after. Problem with hot water was a very quick fix of the boiler! Asked for a refund of the call out charge of Β£120. First no response. Then a very long text as I kept insisting. Called and spoke to someone who continued the same message and didn’t let me speak. Bad. Really annoying when someone can’t admit they didn’t analyse the situation properly and gave the wrong advice just to keep the Β£120. They’ll probably respond that I didn’t understand what they were saying etc. however all I can say is that with the second opinion everything was very smooth and easy and cost me 1/5 of what it would have cost if Nation’s Heating Ltd would have done the work."

"I texted Mick with a query about replacing radiators. He called me back promptly and kindly offered to come round at a time that suited me. He looked at the pipes and advised on how best to replace the radiators, with discussion of the steps involved, and different options and the pros and cons. All for free. Extremely good service"

"Here's the full story. You decide. Mick did a gas safety and boiler service. He was friendly and sounded very knowledgeable. I mentioned that sometimes my boiler shows an error when I turn the heating on high. He said he'd take a look. The first peculiar thing he did was to shove a screwdriver into the spinning pump mechanism to show "how easily the pump stopped". Shortly after he mentioned the boiler was due an upgrade as some of the parts were old and quoted around Β£3300 for full installation. I asked how much it would be to replace the parts and he said around Β£700. He then asked me to turn on all the radiators to show me that the boiler wasn't sending hot water through the heating system. He continued to look at the boiler, letting it run to assess the heating issue but it didn't resolve. Over the next few days my apartment was getting colder as it got further into winter and it was looking like unfortunately I'd have to find the Β£3300 for the new boiler. That was suggested over replacement parts as a new boiler was said to come with a warranty. Luckily I decided to get a second opinion before digging into savings because the second plumber spent less than 10 minutes to find a valve which was left the wrong way. Because Mick had spent considerable time testing the heating and hadn't found the issue, while I hope it was an honest mistake I felt justified in getting a second opinion. Since Mick had been looking into my heating not working and making the point that the parts were the issue, it made the idea of calling him back to address the heating he knew wasn't working absurd. So it seemed only fair to ask him to refund the portion of the fees I paid him to cover the second callout which uncovered his mistake. He refused. Ending with that I "paid for a gas safety and service. Not a boiler breakdown". Which is true. But the irony being that he caused my boiler "breakdown". At least my heating is back on now."
