"I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Notting Hill Glass Company. When I first contacted the company regarding a broken balcony glass panel, I was informed by David that the cost would be £695 plus VAT to secure the booking, and that a more accurate quotation would be provided following a site inspection. Based on this information, I proceeded and paid £417 as requested. Following the survey, I received a quotation that would have brought the total cost of the work to approximately £3,654. I found this significantly higher than I had expected based on the initial information provided, and it was well beyond my budget. As a result, I requested a few days to consider the quotation, particularly as the period coincided with a public holiday. In my opinion, the communication became pressuring after I asked for additional time to make a decision. Another concern was the temporary plywood boarding that had been installed to secure the damaged area. David informed me that he intended to collect the boarding; however, I had not agreed to its removal at that stage because I was still considering the quotation. Having already paid £417, I reasonably believed that this payment would cover the initial visit and the temporary materials used to secure the damaged area. I was therefore surprised that the boarding was removed before I had made a final decision regarding the proposed works. Overall, my concerns relate to the lack of pricing clarity, the significant difference between the initial indication of costs and the final quotation, and the handling of communication during the decision-making process. Based on my experience, I would encourage potential customers to obtain detailed written quotations, ensure all costs and terms are clearly explained in advance, and keep written records of all agreements before making any payment."

"Called them in the late morning after another company that I organised the day before, confirmed they were coming but never showed up or replied. I was at a loss as a sash window was wide open, off the vertical rails and being propped up by a mattress. We had 36 hours to sort it. They were there within 3 hours of the call and the job was done within 45 minutes of them arriving. It was the most containing and positive experience I’ve had in a long time. "Excellent workmanship, had a break in, glass everywhere, so needed to fix window and double glazing panel. Guy cut the glass panes right there, as both windows not a standard size. Cleaned all the broken glass away, put in two new glass panes in a couple of hours. Really impressed. Strongly recommend."
