"Marcin assisted me with the set up of my new tattoo studio in Colchester town centre. The original property was a mess with lots of holes in the wall. These were filled in, a new reception wall build and sign installed, reception desk installed and many shelves also fitted. The shop has had lots of compliments on the interior of which I can credit a lot to Marcin"

"Marcin and team did a giant project for us back in 2022/3 (a double dormer loft conversion, very large side return extension and significant remodelling of layout in the rest of the house), and we’re really happy with the result . Marcin is really friendly and entirely reasonable and practical when challenges come up. He also really knows his stuff so can make suggestions where you aren’t totally set on something. He came out and priced the job competitively and then stuck to this price, and also was able to do additional add on jobs that we agreed separate prices for (such as building curved raised beds in the back garden). We had teams on site 6 days a week throughout the build (larger teams at first and then a couple of people after that), and the builders were respectful and good with the kids, as we were living on site during the build. Marcin was also great at helping us set up a temporary kitchen and move around the house to areas we could inhabit whilst not getting in the way of the areas they wanted to work in. This was in contrast to other builders we quoted with who had suggested that we had to get out early and stay out until completed, which would have cost us significantly more. Marcin and team came back to do snagging a few months after we got the Building Control signed off, and have recently just come back to fix a minor problem that came up, and I fully trust that Marcin will come back and fix anything else that goes wrong in the 6 years post completion as per the contract we signed with him at the start of the build. A few things just to be aware of are that I needed to be quite involved in project managing the build throughout and monitoring a few things that if we weren’t around could have been too far gone to fix and get to the final product that we got. Also the pace of delivery slowed towards the end meaning there was quite a bit of chasing to get the job fully done and closed out as the project overran. To counterbalance that Marcin was very good at renegotiating payment schedules etc when things fell behind and when we spotted things not quite how we wanted would correct them. Overall I think our level of involvement was reasonable given the cost we paid and fact we didn’t employ a project manager, and we would absolutely use Marcin again for any future builds for all the reasons we’ve outlined above. Thanks very much!"

"We had a great experience with Marcin and his team. They extended our kitchen, added an extra dorma in the loft and renovated our bathroom to add a handy utility room. The team were friendly, clean & tidy, good at what they do, incredibly hardworking and flexible. The only delays to our build were the result of supply issues - windows & kitchen - but even with those Marcin managed to keep within a week of the original date of delivery. We’d be very keen to work with them again on a future project."

"Marcin and his team did a kitchen extension for us last year. We started end of Jan 2020 and was full swing in March when the first lockdown happened. With all the added stresses and difficulties of last year, the builders did a great job. We had a regular small core team who worked carefully and diligently. Marcin made regular visits to site and was always available for a phone call. They are returning later this year to replace a bathroom for us. I would use this company again for further work."

"Marcin and his team did our single story rear extension and we couldn't be happier with the work he and his team did for us. The result speaks for itself. His team are very hard working, courteous, thoughtful and completely trust worthy. Can't recommend Pioneer Concepts highly enough."
