"We had a great experience working with Rupert at Pure Build and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anybody looking at a complex extension or renovation. Our project was a ground floor wrap-around extension, as well as renovated/new bathrooms, removing chimney breasts on two floors, and completely redoing the garden. We used an architect firm for our structural design and planning permission; from our perspective they worked seamlessly together. During the tender process Pure Build’s proposal was more detailed than others we received, which provided a great deal of confidence the work had been properly understood and the cost and timelines would come in as expected. It was notable that some other firms’ cheaper quotes did not include various unavoidable costs, that would probably have been added on later. The care and attention to detail on the project planning stood out for us. All the work was carried out to an exceptional standard. On the construction side, Roman and his skilled team were absolutely fantastic - efficient, meticulous, always working to a high standard, unfailingly polite and considerate. Despite various curveballs thrown by our 1900s property, or our own design changes/additions, between Roman and Rupert a solution was always found. They were an excellent team and it was invaluable drawing on their deep experience as we made decisions through the project, including their pointers on suggested changes. Being new to renovations, we made a number of changes through the process, which they patiently costed and planned for us. Despite our many additions to the original scope the work was completed to time - very impressive. All in all we are absolutely delighted with the result and would use Pure Build again in a heartbeat."

"We were delighted with Pure Build. Having put the project out to tender, only 3 out of 6 of the contractors we had previously spoken to actually pitched. Pure Build's was by far the most comprehensive. Rupert came round to discuss the project on several occasions as we made amendments and was very helpful in getting us to the stage where we felt we had a solid specification that everyone understood. We had a complex situation regarding fitting downstairs toilet in to our build and he came up with a solution involving replacing the staircase that solved all of our problems. We met his lead builder, Victor before committing and conducted 2 site visits to recent projects so were impressed with the quality of the work. Rupert's wasn't the cheapest quote, but we felt that it's comprehensive nature meant there was less room for uncertainty as to what was included and what wasn't so we believed that it would work out best value overall. With the project now complete, we think that was the best decision. Once we had committed, our 14 week project only overran by 1 week, which was entirely down to us adding some extras in as we realised our contingency was adequate. We particularly welcomed the clear invoicing, so we knew when each invoice would arrive and when it was paid and the cost of any variations. Rupert made a site visit on most days and was always contactable. Victor and his team were excellent craftsmen, clean and tidy and totally trustworthy. The advantage of having Rupert was that we could generally leave the builders to get on with things and discuss any issues/changes/unforeseens with Rupert. We would definitely recommend Pure Build for your building work. We are enjoying our new extension, patio and reworked living space and very happy with how everything has worked out."

Rupert was the most detailed and professional from the outset, from the initial meeting to the line-by-line detailed quote (which was diligently updated as the project progressed). As our third home project, we are very aware of what can go wrong but Rupert’s professionalism gave us a lot of comfort and confidence.
