SPS Timber Windows

"SPS did a fantastic job. The quality of the windows is outstanding. The woodwork, glass and painting are all excellent. While Kestas and his team of installers also did a superb job: quiet, tidy, on-time, courteous and diligent. Overall, I am very happy with both the workmanship and the process. Generally, a top-class company. I highly recommend them."

"We are absolutely delighted with the work that Simon and his crew did in installing new windows throughout our house and also new patio doors. The Edwardian period features were closely replicated and the windows, installation and paintwork were of exceptional quality. Considerable care was taken to minimise the spread of dust and disturbance and to make good where necessary. The work was done as closely to schedule as the weather allowed and to cost. Simon and his crew were all pleasant and considerate - it was almost a shame to see them leave! The end result of their efforts has been to greatly improve the appearance and functionality of our house including making it much warmer."

"We cannot recommend SPS Timber Windows enough. Simon Walker definitely knows his job inside/out. We were very impressed. Although it takes a few months before the windows are fitted, it is definitely worth the wait. (Drawings are sent out & once Ok'd, the windows are made up & a date for fitting is proposed). We had a traditional sash window (with a bar in the middle)* replaced and a new casement window for the bathroom. *To my knowledge, SPS are the only company that do not use plastic for the middle bar. Communication was second to none. Finally, I would like to thank all those involved in the process! Thank you. London SW17"

"We were extremely happy with the service and end product from SPS Windows. We did a lot of shopping around initially and SPS came back with a fairly priced quote but with a vastly superior product. From the time that the installation was booked in everything went extremely smoothly. We had 5 windows fitted in total and the fitter was very professional keeping the house clean and dust free at all times. Our new windows are now in and we are enjoying lots of positive comments from all our neighbours! Out of 5 stars we award 6!"

"The windows on our house were 95 years old. They leaked wind and water, but nothing I had seen in aluminium, PVC or even wood looked right. Eventually, I came across a house in the next street having new windows. The windows were the first I'd seen that looked like the originals. By coincidence, the house belonged to friends. When the job was over, I asked what they thought about them and they were effusive with praise. I did some research on the product, was impressed with the specifications and the materials used, and contacted Simon Walker at SPS Timber Windows at once. From that moment, everyone we met or spoke to from SPS had been great. The installation team were terrific. They worked extremely hard, and conscientiously, made very little noise, considering the work required, and were very friendly. Each window was out and in the same day, so the house was secure and weatherproof every night. What astonished and delighted us was that they tidied up, removed the dust covers, and hoovered at the end of every single day. Amazing. Now they’re in, the quality of the windows, and the attention to detail during the installation, is very impressive. The fenestration is correct, as it was originally, and period details, rails and moldings have been recreated to match. Considering the quality of the windows, they are good value for money. I would certainly have more windows done by SPS, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone else. 12 July 2019 I would like to add to this review, originally written in 2016. Repeat business is the measure of all good companies, and I am so pleased with the work they did three years ago that I ordered a second batch from SPS Timber Windows, this time for the back and side of the house. The quality of their product is as good as ever, but it's the quality of their installers that really impresses. They were friendly, tidy, considerate, incredibly hard working, and left the place spotless. They were not the same team as last time, so it is a credit to Simon and Richard that they find such consistently good people. I said it three years ago, and I still can't recommend them highly enough."
