Customer Reviews
"Terrible customer service. Have waited nearly a month for a delivery. After repeated requests to not deliver an item at 7 am due to site being open, have had four delivery attemps since the 8th of May at 7 am. No communication between the sales and delivery team. Have called several times over the past couple of weeks to resolve the issue with it being 9th June and still no delivery. Its either nobody there to answer the phone of they dont bother dealing with your query. I have been promised i would get a call back on three occasions. Im still waiting... Poor management.. Poor customer service.. Poor training of staff.."
"The manager absolutely disorganised, running around like a goat, the staff is not trained properly.! Horrible service ?! 4 tills are available 15 people wait until one nine competent person serve every single customers. Whilst other staff will walk around having jokes. I d its!!"
"They should close down their business. Last time my friend ordered the blocks from them, they were unwilling to deliver at the final minute and called my friend to say sorry and my friend picked up there by himself. This time, we ordered and they were sure to provide delivery when we ordered. Again, last minute they called me their driver was unwilling to deliver and their staff only said "unfortunately, they can't control" over and over again. Why don't they close down their business if they don't provide services and keep hiring impotent people?? I am asking them for refund and I order someone else."
"I would like to thank Simon Gilbert, the Design Consultant at the South Ealing branch, who kindly helped us rebook an appointment to design our kitchen with Wickes. He provided a great deal of helpful advice about the products and the design process, which we really appreciated. This was especially refreshing after my disappointing experience at the Hanger Lane branch earlier. Unfortunately, the salesperson (Hanger-lane) there was unwilling to even look at my drawings and insisted that I had to book a home measurement appointment. I explained that I had already booked an in-branch design appointment, but he was not willing to consider this and simply told me to visit another branch instead. Simonβs helpful attitude and willingness to assist made a big difference, and we are very grateful for his support."
"I am deeply disappointed with Wickes' handling of a recent issue. I purchased engineered wood flooring for a client project, and after installation, discoloration occurred in the kitchen area. Despite the product being advertised as suitable for underfloor heating, the discoloration appears to be a result of a defect. The customer service experience was frustrating and far from helpful. After reaching out, I was directed to the manufacturer, Woodpecker Flooring, for advice. The solution they offered was to attempt treatments such as hydrogen peroxide and bleach, which is not an acceptable or practical fix for a product that was sold with a warranty. Whatβs most concerning is the lack of urgency or responsibility taken by Wickes in resolving the issue. Instead of offering a clear resolution, I was left waiting and dealing with a series of ineffective suggestions. Iβm now in a position where I will need to reorder the same product at my own expense to address the problem for my client. While I understand that warranty terms exist, the customer service I received was disappointing, and I feel that Wickes could have done much more to support its customers. For anyone considering purchasing from Wickes, I would recommend being cautious, as their warranty and support system fell short in this instance. I hope this feedback helps others make an informed decision."
