"Very expensive for a straightforward job, and I would not use this company again. I called at around 7pm to remove a faulty padlock in Whitechapel. The locksmith arrived promptly and removed the padlock in under 5 minutes. Before starting work, he quoted £375, which we reluctantly agreed to because the matter was urgent. After the work was completed, he then attempted to add a £49 call-out fee and VAT on top, which would have taken the total to over £500. We objected and ultimately paid the agreed £375. I later contacted the company to express my concerns and give them an opportunity to respond before leaving a review, but received no reply. My advice to other customers is to get absolute clarity on the total cost, including any call-out charges and VAT, before agreeing to any work."
