Zminkowska De Boise Architects

"I would highly recommend ZBD architects. They designed our ground floor space - to create a new layout encompassing a kitchen and dining area, utility and pantry. Our final project looks fantastic and has even been featured in magazines. There’s so much to praise, but I think the top three aspects would be - 1) A positive & innovative approach to design process that turned awkward aspects of the property into assets (eg. Clever solutions to floor height differences between rooms, maximising use of light and the darker windowless areas). They made clever adjustments that elevated aspects of the design we had done ourselves such as adding beautiful angling to our specific wine storage design, which transformed what would be a narrow space into something special! 2) Collaborative approach - you can have confidence there’s plenty of dialogue and openness to suggestions, working together to create the space of your dreams. They are artistic and highly skilled, and you can have conversations to ensure the designs best meet your needs, tastes and use of space. They were such a pleasure to communicate with. They really get into the detail. I really valued this aspect, and how well we now use the space, is a result of designs coming from an interactive and open dialogue. 3) Respect of our budget limits! With a fairly tight budget, they were open to working with cheaper items we chose (such as a budget kitchen) and advising on aspects to invest in - eg, quality flooring & sideboard. We did not feel pushed to spend more. Connected to this, they are incredibly knowledgeable about materials and getting a high quality finish. I feel their management helped ensure the best quality from our builders too. ZBD are worth every penny - our project is so much better than if we had done it alone. They understand London terraces, Victorian properties and their designs truly complement and add value to our whole property. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Hanna & Richard again!"

"I would not hesitate to recommend ZDB. We’ve recently completed a major project to improve, extend and thoroughly renovate our 1930s house on a challenging sloping site. From the moment we met Richard, it was clear that his creative vision and meticulous attention to detail were exactly what we’d been looking for. The design process was collaborative and thoughtful, with plenty of discussion with both Richard & Hanna to get every element just right. The value ZDB brought throughout planning, detailed design, and week-by-week project management far exceeded our expectations. The result was a measurable and genuinely transformative improvement to both our home and the whole experience of creating it."

"I would not hesitate to recommend zdbarchirects to anyone embarking on a build project. Hanna led the design, tender and management of our loft conversion and we could not be more pleased with the result. Design suggestions for both the structure and the interior were invariably innovative, communication with ourselves and the builders was great and problems were solved quickly and practicably"

"We'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending ZDB. Richard and Hanna have worked with us on two projects - the first a top-to-bottom house renovation project, and the second a transformation of an ugly garage into a beautiful light filled room that now we rarely leave! They are delightful people who come with delightful ideas. Both projects showcased their attention to detail and creativity. Critically, both projects also had their care and stewardship throughout the building work. I just wish we had a third project to offer them..."

"Zdbarchitect have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Hanna and Richard offer a friendly, warm and professional service. We have been working on a number of projects now it is always an easy, pleasurable experience where their honesty and professionalism make the experience run with ease."
